Hesalite or sapphire?

Since I want to buy a new watch, after surfing the web for a few months, it became high time to take a look at some models life. I visited a few authorized Omega dealers yesterday, not without some surprises. First, I found the Aqua Terra and the De Ville (except for the chronograph) somewhat of a disappointment. On the other hand, the Seamaster Pro and the Speedmaster Pro surprized me in thet they look quite flat on the wrist, the extrusion of the caseback falls into the weak part of the wrist leaving only the case itself to be seen, very nice!
The Speedmaster is available with a sapphire crystal now, I wonder how scratch resistant it is since it is bound to accept some blows due to the domed design (I am lefthanded, a handicap in wearing watches). If it scratches, it can't be restored as the hesalite so I am in doubt here. I would like to hear your opinions on the matter.
One problem still stands: I find it almost impossible to choose between the Sea- and Speedmaster (strange perhaps since they are very different watches), the James Bond (which I like best - without having been able to see the white dial GMT) looks a bit flashy (I think it's the blue bezel) but the Speedmasters with visual back are stunning to look at, no rotors in the way as will be the case with the new Seamaster co-axial (but I will certainly wait until I can see it before deciding :-)
