No it is not phyically too small to put a automatic movement in a ladies watch. I believe marcello Cs Ladies watch looks exactly like the ladies Omega SMP and it is in Automatic. Actually as for the Quartz watch in womens watches I read it somewhere and I believe it is true. I also did some reseach myself and asked all the ladies I know. They really don't care what movment it is. They either want Cartier or Gucci or something of a brand and they look at the price or the style they like.
My girlfriend she even chose omega SMP quartz just because she want us to wear a pair instaed of choosing an automatic watch. When purchasing I was tring to convience her to buy a Oris automatic which I thought it was pretty cute too but she insisted on the omega quartz. Anyway I read it somewhere most watch manufacurers doesn't even bother to put automatic movement in ladies range.
Another example, Omegas constillation range only the one of the gold is in automatic the rest of the same rage are in quartz.
