Re: Marcello c Nettuno 3
In Response To: Re: Marcello c Nettuno 3 ()

: Yes I do agree Marcello C look a lot like Rolex
: but if you know there are others out there
: that have the same qualities and with
: cheaper brands than marcello c, then can you
: can please list some here?

Check out some of the watches at westcoastime.com. They carry brands that look like ROLEX, use ETA movements and cost hundreds less than the MarcelloC.

: Reason for that is because most watch
: manufacturers know women don't care about
: the movments wether they are automatic or
: quatz, they only want something that looks
: good and something expensive and ofcourse
: the famous brands.

Right. Ever notice that most ladies watches don't even have second hands!

: You keep saying movment doesn't matter. But the
: thing about watch is all about movment and
: then the look and then probably the quality
: of the materials used and funtionality of
: it.

No, what I am saying is that any premium watch is going to have a more than sufficiently great movement -- whether it is ROLEX, OMEGA or anything by or based on ETA. Mechanical watch movements that tell time and date are 100-year old technology. This is not something that is hard to master or that some premium watch companies are still trying to get right. So it is a waste of time trying to seek significant differences between these two movements -- there aren't any. Unless you wish to find miniscule details and fool yourself into believing they are important, you are on a pointless quest here. As I said before, they are close cousins made by the same company.

: So why did we and all of us here choose omega?
: Because omega is just a brand? I don't believe
: so. We like our watch to have chronometer
: why? Because we want our watch to be as
: accurate as possible.

No, if that's what we wanted, we would have chosen QUARTZ, not mechanical. Obviously, there are intangibles beyond technical accuracy.
