Re: Online Purchase
In Response To: Online Purchase ()

I live in the UK and bought a new seamaster last month. During my deliberations Omega put their prices up. You often hear quoted discounts of 35%. This may be true in Canada and the US but unknown here in the UK. The cheapest I found here in the UK was online at 18% (no international warranty).
http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/ claims to carry international warranty. I looked at buying abroad from authorized dealers but import duty, tax, handling charges, postage, insurance and cost of sizing the bracelet all ate up the potential savings.
For peace of mind I bought from a local authorized dealer with 15% discount (vat free day). This as a one day special offer. Service was excellent and reassuring to have bought from a long established bricks and mortar jeweller. However I believe you might get a 15% discount from
http://www.thomas-skipton.co.uk/
They are an established authorized dealer (since 1977)in North Yorkshire but happen to have a website.
Good luck with the purchase.
