First, I'd like to point out that have two Omega watches that I love. The unfortunate thing is I haven't been in possession of one of them for the past 5 months.
I sent a several month old Seamaster Aqua Terra to Omega for service at the end of July. The second hand was getting stuck every once in a while, needing a tap to get it going, and causing the watch to lose time. The last update I received is that they would be shipping it back by the end of December. This is something I've heard for months.
My wife and I are very disappointed in the service and the fact that this watch had the problem to begin with since it was so new. It's causing second thoughts of ever buying an Omega again.
Also, a local high-end retailer just informed us that they no longer carry Omega due to the issues they've had with the service. Their customers were getting very unhappy and they could do nothing about it.
Sorry Omega lovers, I had to vent.
