White Date-box frame??

On the Omega Seamaster Titanium, ref. # 2231.80, electric blue face - there are a number of models with the white frame around the date box while others of the exact same model and reference number DO NOT have the white frame around the date box. Omega replies that this model should indeed have the white frame around the date box!?! What is the truth here? I see the same model for sale with and without the white frame on the date window. This is most confusing. Please help!
