: I purchased a speedmaster moon watch last week
: (2nd hand, a year old sold as seen)and am
: very pleased but it needs winding every
: 12hours otherwise it stops.
: Is this common? whats the problem?
The problem is you seem to have missed understanding that the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is a MANUAL WIND ONLY watch!
There are similar automatic (self winding) versions, but they are not the "Professional" version. OMEGA uses the "Professional" designation only on the two space qualified versions of the Speedmaster -- the Moon watch and the Mars watch. NASA only space qualified the manual wind Speedmaster.
