I just bought a Bond SMP (2531.80) it came with 10% discount, from an authorised dealer of course. Since the model was released in 1993(?), I was a bit worried that the design might have aged a little, but upon closer examination I say it has stood well against the test of time. My current concern is the bezel, would it be dislocated if I keep rotating it all the time ? Not that I want to give the bezel a hard time. The size of the watch is just about right and I'm glad it's not thick.
I was going to wait until next year to purchase one but I couldn't wait. One reason is that omega watches are backed up by good services in Switzerland (as I have read here). Hopefully there will be a Bond/Black SMP coaxial (not Aqua Terra), but has the coaxial movements proven to be very reliable ?
It's not a cheap watch but once you realise how good it is, you will forget about its price. Hopefully this watch will last a lifetime.
