SMP Quartz Questions

I just recently bought my first Omega this Christmas, and it looks and feels great. I had a couple quicke questions: 1) I've had the bracelet sized twice, first to a setting I thought was too loose, and I had a jeweller remove a half link, and now I think the bracelet might be too tight. When I flex my wrist down towards the underside of my forarm, the watch becomes tight around my wrist. But when my wrist is straight out, I can shake my wrist from side to side and the watch jiggles a bit, though not much. So, first question, how tight is too tight? What's the main danger with a watch being too tight? Basically, I like the way it feels now, but I would like to avoid any damage to the bracelet if possible.
Second question, I read that the SMP Quartz is shock resistant to 5,000 Gs. What does that mean? Can I golf with this watch on, or would the impact from a 6 iron tend to damage the watch?
Thanks in advance for your help. Keep up the informative forum!
