There is no right way or wrong way to wear your watch. Some people prefer it tight and some prefer it not tight.
I like mine lose just enuogh to slip down from my wrist and into my shirt sleeves and I feel much more comfortable like that too in the summer because the space left is able to use it as ventilation when it get too hot.
So usually when the watch is at my wrist I can still put a finger inside with no problem.
My gf however, she loves it tight so tight it can't move at all the moment she closes her clasp and she likes it like that.
So it is much of a preference.
If you like the way yours feel now then you should stick to that and you won't do any damage to the bracelet.
5000Gs are huge amount of g shock that a watch an suffer without being damaged. So yeah you can definitly wear it to play golf.
