I can tell you from personal experience that you always want to err on the side of too loose rather than too tight. The SMP is a heavy watch, so if the bracelet is too tight and you begin to perspire, your wrist will swell and the bracelet will feel like it is digging into your flesh. This problem forced me to have a half link added to my SMP bracelet and now the fit is fine, even in the Florida heat.

As for golfing with the SMP, this is not a problem, as long as the "impact from a 6 iron" you are talking about doesn't mean you plan to bash the watch with your 6 iron!!!!!
