Re: Superluminova/Red second hand discoloration

: Does anyone have pictures of how discolored
: these parts of the watch get, particularly
: on a Bond SMP?

No photos handy, but the second hand gradually turns orange. Under very extreme cases, it can totally fade to white. But you have to be living on the beach and out in the sun every day all year round for that to happen.

Also, prior to 1998, OMEGA was using tritium-laced phosphor paint. That's what's on mine and it is fading to a soft yellow-green.

I don't think the SuperLuminova fades much. But the OMEGA watches I have with SuperLuminova haven't had as much sun exposure, so I can't tell yet how they will react.

: Is there a way of avoiding the discoloration?

Avoid the sun.
