Re: SMP 2254..unbelieveable fake

All these observations trying to distinguish it as a fake are rather lame. I have a 2254 and comparing it to the picture it appears identical given the resolution and scale of the photo. My Omega has a raised luminous marker on the bezel.
There is no play in the links but the bracelet is very flexible and easy to manipulate to mirror that of the photograph. Before you say mine is a fake it is from an authorized dealer and thanks to the advice given to me on this forum my COSC certificate is on its way to me now.

In theory a fake could cost as much to produce as the authentic watch. Only a fraction of the purchase cost of an Omega is the cost of production. Omega are mass produced so why can't anyone else mass produce a replica to the same quality and sell it for 20% above cost instead of 100%+ that Omega sell theirs for?
I personally feel that nowingly wearing a fake is dishonest although I imagine that with fakes like the one in question many owners will be oblivious. That is the real crime.
