I was discussing my desire for a new Omega AT with my brother who just bought a Montblanc Sport Chrono. I thought I heard him sniff contemptuously as he told me that I can buy the AT at Costco. So, I went to the Costco website and, sure enough, there it was for $1899. Link to page included here...
Does anybody know how Costco is able to sell these watches? Are these gray market watches? Are these watches supported by Omega? I had always thought of Omega as a rather exclusive brand. Does selling through a wholesale club that competes with Sam's Club, Wal Mart and Target dilute the reputation of the Omega brand?
