Either way, I'm looking for these watches; they're still going to be less expensive and functionally better than Rolex, IMHO (I bought Rolex before I was fully educated). Does anyone have a model number for them (Specifically Mr. Keith Dowling)? I'm going to contact both my jeweler and my wife's jeweler to acquire one (or both) for me. Those designs are too good to pass on.

: That's one thing I don't like about the watch
: trade. The watch makers have a pretty sweet
: deal where by it is the jewelery store that
: takes the hit if the market won't support
: the MSRP of the watch. Meanwhile the watch
: company can just keep charging the dealer
: the same price and dealers profit margin is
: sqeezed. Of course the cost will trickle up
: to the watch maker eventually If demand
: can't even support the reduced rate but I'll
: bet they love having that buffer in there
