: model watchs, firstly a moon watch which came
: from the US,bought second hand,via the
: internet from NEWYORKJEWELLERS.....in
: Chicago !!,anyway nice people on the
: phone, but the warranty card they sent with
: the watch is a cream colour and not the red
: colour i was expecting,this card say's Smart
: Jewellers {embossed}on it,and it has the
: details of my watch written {not printed} on
: the card,dated 15/05/04.....the card say's 1
: year warranty, normal small print on the
: back, and a gold Omega circle on the
: front....does this sound genuine?.
Yes. It is just the older version of the card. Some watches sit in inventory for many months before they are sold.
: be{printed cards},first bought on
: 20/05/04,but the watch loses about a minute
: a day?,surely this is excessive?.
Yes, it is.
: I could take the watch to a watch dealer i
: trust, to get it adjusted, but should i be
: having this work done under its international
: warranty?.
Under warranty it would be free to you. Take is to someone else and you pay for the adjustment. Whichever you prefer. You don't *have* to use the warranty if feel more comfortable with someone else doing the adjustment for you.
: And the watch is either on my wrist or in my
: watch winder,so its not like its not getting
: enough winding.
Bad assumption. Try manually winding it one a day for a week and see how it performs. When you have multiple watches, they often don't get enough wear to keep them wound enough. And a winder normally only maintains a decent wind, it does not max-out or 'fill the tank' for you.
: photo's across of this watch,{is anyone else
: lost on how to load pictures here?}
That's because you don't *load* the pictures here. You have to upload them to somewhere *else* on the Internet and point to them. Often, your ISP access account includes some personal web space you can use. Or try one of the various image hosting services you can find with a simple web search.
