Semaster Storage

Need some advice. I own a 4 yr old Seamaster Pro. Automatic. I was wondering what would happen if I decided to store it in original box for say a year or so. Any suggestions, as I don't want to harm the watch. It is in excellent conditon and has been worn continously for the last 4 yrs. I just bought a Gevril Sport watch but I don't want to let the Seamaster go. Suggestions on storage please. BTW I have the original box with pillow. Thanks!
