This is just my personal opinion, but I also think the Seamasters are better buys for the money. I am of the opinion that the Speedmaster line is overpriced, and most of them aren't even certified as chronometers like the Seamasters are. The Seamaster has sapphire crystal that's all but impossible to scratch, while the Speedmaster has a plastic crystal that scratches easily and needs to be buffed from time to time. The Seamaster is a certified chronometer, it costs less, and just looks nicer in my opinion.
