: I'm thinking about getting the SMP 2254.50 or
: 2264.50(quartz version) but I live in Japan
: and, like most other things, they are
: generally way overpriced. I'm quite
: sceptical of purchasing a watch over the
: internet which is why I waited and found a
: 'reasonable' deal on my Speedmaster at an
: autherized dealer here.
: What I would love to find are a couple of good
: internet dealers. I realize they are grey
: market watches and that's why I'd appreciate
: any feedback, good or bad, from anyone who
: has delt with one of the bigger on-line
: dealers.
: Thanks...
I bought a Bond SMP from www.jomashop.com. Got the best deal I could find anywhere (36% off), and the watch came quickly with all papers, boxes, and serial numbers. Only the warranty card was missing, but they have their own warranty, which I haven't had the occasion to use. Although my watch is a quartz, and I therefore think that the chances of having to use a warranty are greatly reduced, I would not buy an automatic watch from an online dealer. The chances of needing the warranty service are far greater, and I would feel uncomfortable sending the watch back to that online dealer.
All else aside, it was a good experience, and the best price I could find.
