Re: Interchanging strap/bracelet on AT/Railmaster?

: Is it possible to
: interchange bracelet and strap on AT or
: Railmaster at home or is it possible to do
: it only at the workshop?

They are both held on by spring pins. So with the right tools, are pretty easy to change at home. Youcan get the tools from ofrei.com. You will need the FB-504 to remove the bracelet. Cheaper tools do not have the small piece needed to get into the bracelet slot to release the pin.

Buy it at: http://www.ofrei.com/page252.html

: thought of wearing the watch with the
: bracelet in the summer and with the strap in
: the winter.

Actually, I do it the other way around. THe heavy bracelet can get hot in summer, while a strap breathes.

: I am trying to decide between these watches. I
: have another question - what is this calibre
: 2403? Is it based on 2500, and if it is so,
: are there any other modifications apart from
: the date module removal? It says in
: Railmaster's promotional material that
: technically this mod makes 2403 more precise
: than 2500, is this a founded statement?

According to OMEGA, it is the exact same movement, except for the date feature. While technically, I can see that removing any extraneous feature that taps the movements's power might make the movement even more accurate, I can't see that being of any noticable significance.

I'd choose between them based on which you like the looks of better.
