I was more or less refering to the chrongraphic functions of the Speedmaster, they make the watch quite more complex. On the other hand, I suppose the rotor of an automatic movement may also be a risk, certainly when a watch is dropped. Now, the co-axial escapement makes choosing even more difficult and I have no idea how robust this escapement is (I have read an article from Mr. John Holbrook who has sent his Aqua Terra to Bienne for a service, apparently several parts of the co-axial escapement were replaced)

: I definitely wouldn't say that the Seamaster is
: more robust. If anything, the movement in
: the Speedmaster is more robust, being manual
: wind. It can withstand some abuse, based on
: the NASA tests. I dropped mine onto a tile
: floor from a height of about 4 feet. It was
: a horrible feeling. But the watch just
: shrugged it off as if nothing had happened
: and continued to run at +4 to 5 seconds per
: day.
: The two main advantages to the Seamaster over
: the Speedmaster are the price and the
: greater water resistance. If you want to
: swim with your watch, the Seamaster is the
: obvious choice. And of course which one you
: think looks better on your wrist is
: something to consider. For me, the
: Speedmaster looks better.
