: I am buying a Speedy from Canada. Any
: experience, guidance on the best way to
: ship? i.e., declare full value and hope it
: is not assessed a duty? insure low and risk
: it? thanks
Two things I would do: find out how much duty is, and find out if your shipper will insure it for full value. I brought in a new Omega from the caribbean, and the duty was only a few dollars. I would just be honest, and make sure the shipper insures for full value. If not..goe thru postal service if they do. Also..make sure it is not packaged conspicuosly as a watch, since there have been thefts involving watches that have been shipped. good luck
