: Hi all,
: Can some one please help me with these questions regarding the speedmaster
: triple date:
1. I know it has a Sapphire crystal glass but does it have
: the Anti-reflective coating on it.
Yes it does have the special coating on it.
: 2. If so, is it normal that the coating comes off.
The coating does come off over a long time. It will come off faster if it is constantly scraped on surface. The coating, I hear, is burnt on. The watch crystal can be sent back to Omega and have the coating reapplied. The seamaster is only coated interiorly and the speedmaster autos are coated inside and out. Louis
