Beat up two guys hu...he must be pretty tough. Or they were very out of shape. In anycase I'm glad crime didn't pay in the crooks case.

GMT is a nice watch. I like the white dial one but I don't travel on a regular basis so I just can't see any reason to get one. If I did I'd prob just set the GMT hand to the same time as the other hands. They I'd have a watch with Military time. I don't need that ether. Even though I like the idea of my watch doing more stuff. If I ever become a jet set type than the GMT will be an easy purchase. Of course by then with the annual price increases you mentioned an Omega GMT will prob cost about 10K...and a Rolex will be 20k. Something to look forward to ;)

: I agree with everything you say. I have a
: friend who USED to wear a Rolex Sub. We live
: in Houston, and he was downtown one night
: and two thugs approached him and asked for
: his watch. He asked them if they had a gun.
: After he got no answer to his question, he
: proceeded to beat the ever-livin sh#t out of
: both of the lowlives. Ever since then, his
: Rolex has been in a safe deposit box where
: he banks.

: Rolex makes a great watch, and I would like to
: buy one someday, but it just doesn't fit
: into my life right now (the price tag that
: is). I also prefer the low key, and
: understated looks of my Aqua Terra. Just
: enough bling to keep me happy, but not
: enough of, as you so stated, "check me
: out I'm a rich a-hole".

: I'm thinking about a black dial GMT next, but
: have to clear that with the Mrs. I could
: probably buy that watch and a Bond SMP, and
: still wouldn't have spent what I would have
: to spend for one Sub or Sea Dweller....at
: least for now....til Omega decides it needs
: to increase their prices annually, as they
: have lately.

: Cheers,

: Brian
