Sent my watch serial number to Omega asking for some info & if the number related to a genuine Omega & received the following reply.
For security reasons, it is not possible for us to confirm whether a movement number or a reference number is well related to a genuine Omega watch.
If your watch was bought from an authorized OMEGA retailer, then it is a genuine one. If it was obtained elsewhere, we cannot guarantee its authenticity.
Please use the “store locator” section on our website to look for your nearest OMEGA retailer. http://www.omegawatches.com/omega/di_network_home
