If you leave the watch in any one position you will find it will slightly out of time. This is down to every watch has a slight difference between each position remember -4 to +6 so 9 o/clock down could be -4 and 9 o/cock up could be +6 still within the standards. That’s why some people will put the watch on a winding machine so it rotates and gives a better mean time.
