OMEGA issues serial numbers to the movement when the *movement* is manufactured. So that has no direct chronological sequence to when the watch containing the movement actually left the factory.

But my Railmaster I bought a year ago has an 8060... serial number and that model only came out in late 2003.

So your 8077... was probably produced in 2004.
