My opinion is that it really depends on if its displayed in a cabinet or in the window of a store. I picked my Seamaster AT from a cabinet because windows can store a lot of heat, especially in the summer. It's more likely to be unhealthy than healthy for a watch to be exposed to such heat for a long time, but like you said, your watch is running fine.
