It was incredibly familiar to read your post as I own a model 2255.80 and it behaves exactly like yours regarding the positions I leave it in at night. I have had mine since last November and it doesnt seem as sensitive to different positions as it once was. If I wear it all day it seems to lose a second or so at night regardless how it is stored. The strange thing is that every no and then it will gain 2-3 seconds if I store it flat in it's box or crown down, but for the most part it will lose a second or so. I am not worried however, because it still runs well within specs and is very consistent. It just doesn't regulate the way it used to.
