Actually, take a look at the "Grey market" dealers, they are all priced very similarily. (35-45% discount). This tells me that they are buying these "wholesale" from somewhere for somewhere better than 45% off list. I find it hard to believe that there could be so many "used", "nearly new" etc. watches being returned to sales channels, AND concentarted at a few online dealers. If people are buying and returning these watches, I expect to see more at small pawn shops, or just 1 or 2 at every jeweller in town. This is not the case. The question is, who are these wholesalers and why is Omega facilitating this?
There is another class (mostly ebay and some online dealers) that are selling at a much lower cost, but are selling obvious FAKES.
: Okay, time for a reality check: Who in here
: thinks that the watches that grey market
: dealers offer are actually BRAND NEW?? If
: you surf the web, you can find a pretty
: comprehensive listing of every euphemism and
: synonym for "brand new" in the
: English language without ever finding those
: two words by themselves. "Factory
: Fresh" "Mint"
: "Unworn" "with original box
: and papers" "serial numbers
: intact"
: NONE of those mean that you are getting a new
: watch. If the deal looks too good to be
: true, then the chances are that is probably
: is.
