A mint condition Omega watch with everything it came with in a pawn shop is BY DEFINITION a used watch, and will only bring a used price. There's plenty of room between that price and more than 35% off retail to allow for all the pawn shops to sell the used watches for a profit to gray market dealers, and for the gray market dealers to make a profit too. Add to that the fact that luxury items with a high bling factor tend to attract some people who can't really afford to buy these items and hang on to them, and the conditions are perfect for there to be a financial incentive which would drive the recycling of used watches on a pretty large scale.
