After getting interested in all the little details of Omegas at this website, I went out and bought a couple of the big annual watch books that they sell at places like Borders.

Turns out there is an entire subculture of incredibly expensive watches in the SIX digit price range whose claim to fame is how many "complications" can be built into one watch. Moon phases, correction to solar mean time, Universal calendar good for the next 100 years, etc. As a matter of fact, they have even established a ranking of the number of complications extant within the watch industry, and whether a timepiece is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd on this Rube Goldberg list is an important part of the watch's provenance and price tag.

As far as I'm concerned, the best use for $120k is to make a large down payment on a Hunter Passage 456 cruising yacht to go with an Omega Ti SeMP!! (Paradoxically enough, once you get that particular accessory for your watch, you no longer care what time it is!) (:>)
