: There seems to be several models available that
: match this description. These being 3570.50
: 3572.50 and 3573.50. Could anyone tell me
: what the differences are between these
: watches? Which is the "Origional
: Moonwatch"?
The 3570.50 is the original Moon Watch that does come with the hesalite plastic crystal and 50 meters of water resistance. The 3572.50 differs in that it has only 30 meters of water resistance and contains a slightly different movement (1863 compared to the 1861 movement in model 3570.50). Unfortunately, I have no idea how these movements actually differ.
:and finally - Am I right in
: thinking that the 3573.50 has a scratch
: resistant face where as the faces of the
: other two are prone to scratching?
Yes, this version has the scratch resistant sapphire crystal, while the other two have hesalite (acrylic plastic) crystals. These plastic crystals are prone to scratching but can easily be buffed to remove the scratches. The reason this crystal was chosen for the original Moon Watch was because it won't shatter the way a sapphire crystal can. The hesalite (plastic) crystal may scratch easily, but it is essentially "shatter proof".
