: 1-This watch cannot be overwound...right?
Correct. The watch has an overwind protection mechanism built into it.
: 2-Sometimes I can hear the auto winder
: mechanism still moving in the watch up to 5
: or 6 seconds after I've stopped moving. Is
: this normal?
Yes. What you are hearing is the overwind protection mechanism. When you hear this, it means the watch is fully wound and you don't need to wind it any further.
: 3-How much water resistance is offered without
: the crown being screwed in? The reason I ask
: is in the morn'g I unscrew it, wind up and
: then screw it back down again. Am going to
: wear out the crown threads/gasket by doing
: this daily?
You should NEVER expose the watch to water with the crown unscrewed. You are asking for trouble and an expensive repair bill. However, your watch has a 44 hour power reserve, so if you wear it daily there is absolutely no reason to wind it everyday. All you are doing is wearing out the threads/gaskets for no reason. You can wear the watch all day, take it off overnight, and put it back on the next day without winding it each day. The kinetic motion of your wrist will keep it wound all day and the power reserve will keep it wound overnight.
