Hey guys, there's a guy at school purporting to own a "NEW model" Omega that he bought in the USA that hasn't come out over here yet. Apparently it cost a lot of money. I took a look at it, and the dial and the hands are very similar to the DeVille Coaxial.
On the dial of his watch it says...
|
OMEGA
|
|
|_ _ _
AUTOMATIC
CO-AXIAL ESCAPEMENT
SWISS MADE
(the dashes represent the hour and minute hands)
Anyway, the strap seems similar to the DeVille strap, but is just a normal Tang strap (like the one on your belt)
The watch is a bit thicker than my SMP 300M and the back has a clear case to display the movement. The movement is copiously marked with Omega on it. Lastly, the second hand seems to move somewhat jerkier than my SMP...if this really is a Co-Ax, why is it not as smooth?
So in essence, it looks similar to a DeVille (white dial, brown leather strap)...however, it does not mention any model name on the dial such as DeVille, or Railmaster, or anything. Is it real or fake?
Sorry, no pictures, because it would be hard to ask him if i could take a picture of his watch.
