Can be rather hard to say without a photo. Nothing you described is clearly a sign of a fake--but that doesn't prove authenticity either.

OMEGA does not always put the DeVille name on the DeVille models--to keep the dial looking cleaner. But I thought they were doing it on all of the Coaxial models.

The jerky second hand is probably the biggest indicator that it might not be real. Both the Coaxial and the SMP use the same base movement, so should appear to perform virtually identically.
