GMT hand slipping??

I noticed that after 5 months of use on my then brand new GMT - that my GMT hand was indicating an hour later then it should this morning. I just came back from Houston and in addition to making the usual hour increase/decrease - I also had to advance the date by one day as well.

Question: I know there was a problem with some models of the GMT and the hand changing. How often would the hand mistakenly loose/gain an hour? less then five months?

Is it possible that I nudged it when advancing the hour, or date?

Looking forward to some assistance! Thanks!
