I have both watches, and after a year, the Rolex has had more time on my wrist. However, the SMP looks far more "worn," as the stainless steel's finish lasts longer on the Rolex. The Omega's quite scratched, particularly on the clasp. I also like the date cyclops, as my eyes are a little bad.
As far as initial quality, both are excellent. The presentation of the Omega is easily as good, if not better than the Rolex, as the beautiful red leather box is superb.
If you're into the recognizability of the watch, go for the Rolex. If not, get the Omega.
Either way, both are classy watches, and both are well respected in terms of style and function.
