My measurements were accurate, but I just didn't take a broad enough sampling. The next day it was showing a gain of just 3 seconds in a 24 hour period. So, I will do what you recommended and take measurements over a much broader period. Overall, I suspect it will be well within above average time keeping accuracy for a mechanical watch. I'm satisfied!
