Hello Everybody,
I have a 30 year old Constellation (chronometer). It wasn't really taken care of. Now it probably needs full restoration; the crystal and bracelet are heavily scratched, the dial has two small rusty spots, it defenitely needs restoration of water-resistance, and maybe cleaning/oiling of the movement.
A poor quality photo is attached. I'll update the image when I get my digital camera.
I looked at omega.ch for restoration costs and found it quite expensive (some $340 US), so here are my questions:
- Do you recommend sending it to switzerland?
- Do you recommend sending it to the restoration center in the states (I read some complaints about it)?
- And finally, would they replace the dial (since it wasn't mentioned on their website?
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Jo
