Omega and Tissot began an association in 1930 or so, which Lemania and other companies joined a few years later. So some of the companies that Swatch has have had close assocations for years.
One of the things I have never understood is the relationships between firms in Switzerland. It does not seem to work as it does in corporate America (US).
I don't have all the details either, so if you can find them, I would appreciate it.
