Speedmaster Water Resistance

I'm considering purchasing a Speedmaster Date (3513.30) and was surprised to learn that the water resistance of the watch is just 30M (100ft). Can anyone offer insight, whether you own the watch or not, as to whether I'd be able to shower and swim with the watch? The crown is not a screw-in, and I'm not planning on doing any diving..just recreational. But the water resistance bothers me. I want to make sure I wouldn't have to handle with kid gloves around water. Any thoughts? Thanks!
