I have three Omega watches and I am about to purchase a Zenith.
I have heard it many many times from people... you should have bought a Rolex... And yet, they were all timex or fossil wearing folks.
In my book, Omega, Rolex and Breitling are on the same level.
Rolex has bult a phenomenal name for themselves and they are banking on it. Buying a Rolex comes with conditions, high maitenance fees... "trade-up" rules... etc.
There will always be a brand that everybody knows.
As somebody to name a nice watch and they will likely say Tag and Rolex. Ask them what they know about Vacheron, Blancpain, Jaeger, IWC, Zenith and you'll get a big "HUH?"
Ask somebody to name a bad dude sports car and they will say Lamborghini or Ferrari. Ask them about a Pagani Zonda and again, ... "HUH?"
You have to buy what makes you smile from ear to ear. You will know if the watch is right for you the moment you put it on.
If Omega makes you smile then... here you go! Wear Omegas until they no longer make you smile.
You did good. Bang for the buck... nothing beats an Omega. In a world full or Rolex fakes, you got the real thing. A respected timepiece that will outlast most of us, at a reasonable price.
