: The movement number is normally stamped on the
: barrel bridge but we find that the inter
: winding wheel post on the barrel bridge does
: wear out and you then have to replace the
: bridge and therefore you loose the number.
: Design fault???? I have seen the number on
: the balance cock which would be a better
: place to put it. But we all know Omega!

If the bridge has been replaced would a watchmaker identify his work on the inside caseback? There are several engraved markings on the inside caseback. Since it looks like you are in watch repair i would like to indulge on your expertise. The markings ( all on different location on the inside caseback) are 1658f, t207657, ww1615 and 17517(could be 17513 hard to tell last digit). Now the 17517 is engraved horinzonatlity on the left side of triangle hallmark, Omega Watch CO. This engraving is also on one of the inside lugs. If you could figure any of this out it would be GREAT. Thanks and sorry for the homework.
