Re: Not Under Normal Circumstances...

I found a dealer who owned a very high price jewelry store in st. Paul, and she gave me a 35% discount on a 2296.80, which equaled some of the gray market prices I had seen. The watch broke three weeks later (start plunger stripped its gaskets and came out), and months later it still wasn't back from the repair service. Finally got my money back, and was never able to find another new one. Then I logged on here and found out that there were supposed to be THREE cards instead of one with the watch, and a few other things too. As far as I can tell, I had an authorized dealer run a used gray market watch in on me with a 35% discount price, and once it broke she couldn't send it back it for service because the serial number would tell Omega what she was up to. Moral of the story: If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is, no matter what.
