I have my Bond SMP set EXACTLY as you do, with 5 links on the 12:00 side and 4.5 links on the 6:00 side. My wrist size is around 6 3/4". My watch is loose when I'm resting but when I head out into the Florida heat it tightens up quickly. It never gets "too tight", so I know I have it set just right.
It is ALWAYS better to have a bracelet too loose than too tight. A tight bracelet puts more stress on the links and can be unbearably tight when your wrist swells due to perspiration.
