It sounds to me like your watch may have been magnetized. Since the watch is only 6 months old I would suggest returning it to an Omega authorized repair center. You could have a local watchmaker look at it, but if he's incompetent and harms the watch the remainder of your warranty will be voided. Omega will examine the watch and provide you with an estimate before conducting any repairs IF such repairs are not covered under warranty.

Given that the watch is only 6 months old and the watch shows no signs of abuse, there's a good chance they'll fix it under the factory warranty. If they can prove that the watch has become magnetized (and thus there was no defect in the watch itself), you'll have to pay out of pocket for the repairs. Still, it is better to be safe than sorry.
