The Caseback Was Not Removed

Dear Seismic, John and MMC,

Thank you for your advice and support.

The caseback was not removed because the engraver believed that this would break the little red seal between the caseback and the rest of the case and this would invalidate the warranty.

I believe that engraving the backs of watches is common practice, so if engraving does invalidate the warranty, Omega should make this clear in their Operating Instructions booklet.

It will be interesting to learn Omega's policy, so I will keep you all informed.
