Yes, that is not unusual. Mine changes at about 10 minutes AFTER midnight.
It is an easy adjustment for a watchmaker to correct next time your watch is in for service.
Actually, you should not attempt to change the date manually when the watch is within an hour or two either side of midnight as this can push the mechanism out of alignment and cause the date change to occur further from midnight!
