: Guys,
: Just wondered if you could give a little
: advice. I have just bought a omega seamaster
: america's cup 2569.52 from Blitzwatches.
: Could anyone explain to me where the serial
: number should be on the watch? There is
: sticker on the back of the watch with an 8
: digit number on it, is this the serial
: number or should it be somewhere else?
: Also the picture on the website that i bought
: it from :-
:
: shows that the text 'America's cup' is
: displayed just below the seamaster writing.
: On the one i received it just shows
: 300m/1000ft. Is that ok? I'm not sure if
: there were differences between different
: countires or years etc.
: Any advice would be appreciated.
: Thanks in advance
: Ian.
Your watch is the newer version of the America's Cup watch. The one that says "America's Cup" is no longer available. The watches are identical.
Serial number should be on the case lug behind 7 o'clock. If you didnt purchase from an authorized dealer, there may be no serial number there, and you have a gray market watch. That means Omega will not honor their warranty, and you would have to rely on where you bought it in case you have problems.
